Shelly was a vivacious, adventurous, entertaining wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She loved travel, and loved spending as much time as possible in St. Petersburg, Florida, and Costa Rica. She enjoyed multiple yoga retreats in Costa Rica where she made many supportive friends. 

Shelly loved her family, and her sweet puppy, Sunny. She cared for many people that were experiencing hard times, especially employees of the business she shared with her husband. The beach and the ocean was where Shelly found spiritual inspiration. 

Growing up in New Orleans, she enjoyed the music festivals, concerts, and fine food.

Shelly is preceded in death by her loving mother Rosalind Feldman Zoblotsky, her beloved grandfather Ezra Feldman, and her grandmother Harriet Samson. 

She is survived by her husband, Debrynnt McDuffie, her 3 children, Christopher O’Connor, Benjamin and Justin McDuffie, her father, Ross Scaccia, her grandchildren, Nicholas and Grayson O’Connor, her sisters, Lauran Canatella, Melissa Wafer, Jennifer Soule and her grandmother Jean Feldman. She had many nieces and nephews who adored her.

Shelly’s memorial service will be at St. Stephens catholic church, Saturday October 11th, 1025 Napoleon Ave, New Orleans, LA 70115, gather at 10:30am, Funeral service at noon. There will be a celebration of life after the service at the McDuffie residence, 343 Sawgrass Loop, Covington. She will be buried privately at the Dispersed of Judah cemetery in New Orleans. 

Shelly bravely battled breast cancer. May our loving God accept Shelly into his arms, and may she fly with the angels.
