Melvin "Leo" Foy was born on October 17, 1959 in Independence,Louisiana to the late Nelly "Earnest" and Albertine Foy. He grew up in Robert, Louisiana before moving many times to settle in Hammond, Louisiana.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harvey and Wilma Leveine and Nelly Clark and Myrtle Foy; his parents, Nelly and Albertine Foy; his brothers, Daryl Foy, Calvin Foy and Cecil Wayne Foy and his loving wife, Myrtle "LeeLee" Foy.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories children- Melvin Howell (Kathy) and their kids, Eric, Cheyenne and Dakota; Bryan Foy and his kids, Landin, Laytin, Laydin, Londin and Laelin; three sisters, Anita Corne, Patricia Edwards and Myrtle Elaine Bardwell and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Melvin had multiple jobs and could be described as a "Jack of All Trades". He could truly do it all. We will miss you our dear brother and friend. Please join us in offering a comforting word of prayer to the family at this time.
