- Revelations 21:4
Mahermiah "Nerermiah" Bennie Camel was born on October 12, 1991, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to Jacqueline Camel and Gary Roberson. He departed this life on July 14, 2026, at the age of 34.
Nerermiah was a beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend whose life left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. He was known for being real, authentic, and unapologetically himself. He had a loving spirit, a big heart, and a personality that could light up any room.
Nerermiah had a deep love for music. His favorite artists were his late brother, Gary “Ruga” Camel, and Baton Rouge legend Lil Boosie. He enjoyed rapping, listening to music, cracking jokes, and spending time with family and friends. His sense of humor was unforgettable, and he had a way of making people laugh even during difficult times.
He was strong when he was hurting, brave when he was scared, and resilient through life’s challenges. Nerermiah never bit his tongue and always spoke his mind, but those who knew him best also knew the immense love he carried in his heart. Beneath his honesty and toughness was a caring soul who gave love freely and deeply to those around him.
He leaves to cherish his precious memory his mother, Jacqueline Camel; his father, Gary Roberson; his brothers, Lawrence Camel, Damon Camel, Derrick Camel, and his twin brother, Jeremiah Camel; his sister, Chelli Camel; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Gary “Ruga” Camel, and his sisters, Danielle Camel and Brittany Camel.
Though Nerermiah ’s time on earth was far too short, the memories he created and the love he shared will live on forever. His laughter, his strength, his honesty, and his love will continue to echo in the hearts of all who knew him.
Forever loved, forever remembered, and forever missed.
