Lynn Allyn Maggert

Lynn Allyn Maggert 65, of Independence, Louisiana passed away peacefully in Hammond on July 28, 2025.

Born in Elkader, Iowa, and raised in Arlington, Lynn dedicated many years of hard work and leadership to the Coca-Cola Bottling Company. He eventually made Louisiana his home, where he built a life centered around family, honesty, and hard work. 

He is survived by his wife, Lynn M. Maggert; son, Jason Maggert (Michael and Matthew), daughter, Christa (Hunter, Josh and Coltun); Brandon and daughter-in-law, Hannah (Blaze and Lily): Kyle and wife Erika (Peyton and Alexa); and Greg and wife Kaitlyn (Henry). He is also survived by his beloved dog, Digs. 

Lyn is remembered by his siblings, Phyllis Tate of Taneyville, Missouri, Bernice Squires of Oelwein, Iowa an Richard Maggert of New Smyrna Beach, Florida. He was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers. 

He is deeply loved and missed by his family and many friends, who fell a profound void in their lives without him- their steady rock, protector, and source of unwavering love.
