Linda Louise Bailey-Hornsby

June 25, 1952 — May 29, 2024

I have fought the good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

- II Timothy 4: 7-8

Linda Louise Bailey Hornsby passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at the age of 71 in the loving presence of family and friends in Baton Rouge, La.     Lynn was a woman who wore many hats. She was everything to those she knew and loved. Lynn was a dedicated president, personal attorney, bail bondsman, chef, counselor, mediator, and speaker of the house. She touched the lives of many through her charm, kindness, wisdom, and guidance. Lynn was also known for her sense of fashion and her heart of service. She treated everyone as family. Lynn will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by her family, friends, and loved ones for her love and impact on the lives of those around her.

Linda leaves behind a treasure of love and memories to her husband of over 50 years, Clifton “Robert” Hornsby; a son, Fredrick Bailey; a bonus daughter, Tymonique Bailey; mother, Thelma Bailey; a brother, James Bailey; a granddaughter, Keyaundra East; bonus grandson, Mark Harris; bonus granddaughter, Paisley Parker; a great-granddaughter, Sarihya East; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. As you danced in the light with joy,

love lifted you. As you brushed against

this world so gently, you lifted us.

Love is like a butterfly; it goes where it pleases

and pleases wherever it goes.
