Linda Louise Bailey Hornsby passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at the age of 71 in the loving presence of family and friends in Baton Rouge, La. Linda was born on June 25, 1952 to the late L.C. and Thelma Bailey, a birth that brought immeasurable joy to the family. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized at an early age. Linda married the love of her life, Clifton “Robert” Hornsby.
Lynn was a woman who wore many hats. She was everything to those she knew and loved. Lynn was a dedicated president, personal attorney, bail bondsman, chef, counselor, mediator, and speaker of the house. She touched the lives of many through her charm, kindness, wisdom, and guidance. Lynn was also known for her sense of fashion and her heart of service. She treated everyone as family. Lynn will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by her family, friends, and loved ones for her love and impact on the lives of those around her.
Linda leaves behind a treasure of love and memories to her husband of over 50 years, Clifton “Robert” Hornsby; a son, Fredrick Bailey; a bonus daughter, Tymonique Bailey; mother, Thelma Bailey; a brother, James Bailey; a granddaughter, Keyaundra East; bonus grandson, Mark Harris; bonus granddaughter, Paisley Parker; a great-granddaughter, Sarihya East; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Linda was preceded in death by her son, Michael Ralph; father, L.C. Bailey; sister, Marilyn Bailey; bonus son, Deldric Parker; and numerous aunts and uncles.
As you danced in the light with joy,
love lifted you. As you brushed against
this world so gently, you lifted us.
Love is like a butterfly; it goes where it pleases
and pleases wherever it goes.
