LEROY WATTS

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son,
that whosoever beleiveth in Him, shall not perish, but have everlasting life.”
John 3:16

Mr. Leroy Watts was born on August 29, 1950, in Chicago, Illinois, to the proud parents, the late Mr. Nathaniel and Mrs. Evelyn Watts.

At an early age, he was baptized by Reverend Freeman at the Friendship Baptist Church in Chicago, Illinois. Mr. Watts attended and graduated from the Simeon Vocational High School in Chicago, Illinois. He later furthered his education at DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois, and graduated with a master’s
degree in business and finance as a Certified Public Accountant (C.P.A.).

Leroy Watts met the love of his life, Violet Yolanda Eains, and tothis union, a son was born, Marcus Watts. Marcus preceded his father in death. Leroy and Violet were united in holy matrimony on October 26, 1968, and spent 55 loving years with each other.

Mr. Watts was the Executive Chief Financial Officer of Liberty Bank and also the owner of ChemDry. He was an avid golfer and a Chicago Bears fan. In his leisure, he enjoyed spending time with
his lovely wife, golfing, traveling around the world, and bonding with his beloved Bruno.

Leroy leaves to cherish his loving memory: his dedicated and devoted wife of 55 years, Ms. Violet Y. Watts of the home; companion and pet, Bruno; sister, Mrs. Louis Jackson; two nieces, Ms. Marquita Jackson and Ms. Veronica Watts; four nephews, Mr. Jeremiah Jackson, Mr. Danny Graham, Mr. Kerry Eains, and Dr. Jon W. Goodwin III; aunt, Ms. Sadie Johnson; sister-in-law, Mrs. Christine Renee Goodwin; cousin, Ms. Francine Allen; and a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, other cousins, family members,
and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving son, Master Marcus Watts; two brothers, Mr. Nathaniel Watts and Mr. Dennis Earl Watts; and sister, Ms. Valerie White.

And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them. Revelation 14:13 KJV
