Johnny Lee Barber, 67 was born on April 15, 1957 to Mamie Hilliard and James Barber, Jr. in Gonzales, LA.
Johnny received his formal education from Andrew Price in Schriever, LA. He was married to the late Lorraine Barber and they resided in Thibodaux, LA He worked in the Avondale Shipyard.
Johnny accepted Christ as his personal savior and was united with Magnolia United Methodist Church In his leisure, he enjoyed music, cars, spending time with family and chewing (eating).
He is survived by four children, Shirrell Barber, Billy Ray Barber,Terrance Barber and Jermaine Jackson; two brothers, Cleveland Jackson and David Raby, Jr.; six sisters, Maggie Harold, Mamie Brazil, Queen Gauthier, Bobbie Joseph, Audrey Harry and Brenda Green; two uncles, Charlie Hilliard, Sr. and Clarence Barber; one aunt, Linda Barber and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Lorraine Barber; his parents, Mamie Hilliard and James Barber; two sons, Johnny Barber, Jr. and Johnny Carter;two brothers, James Barber, III. and Nathaniel Hilliard.
