Javen Matthew Tumblin

July 10, 2003 — September 10, 2024

For God so loved the world he gave his one and only son, that whosoever believe in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. ~John 3: 16-

Javen Matthew Tumblin was born on July 10, 2003 to Adrienne Tumblin and John Fernandez, Jr. in New Orleans, Louisiana. Javen unexpectedly departed this earthly life at the age of 21 years old.

Javen accepted Christ at the early age of 9 at Rose Hill Baptist Church in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Javen was educated in East Baton Rouge, Louisiana and graduated from Tara High School in 2022 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Javen worked at McDonalds for many years and he was a very hard worker. He was full of life, and he loved to laugh, he was a jokester. He was a great loving father, a loving son, a caring brother, a wonderful cousin and a amazing grandson. Family was everything to Javen, especially his lil princess, Kahlani, his most outstanding accomplishment and treasure. She was the apple of his eye and his pride and joy, you can tell by the sparkle in his eye and the huge smile on his face.

We thank God for allowing us to have known Javen. “Gone but not forgotten”, because we stand firm knowing that you are with God. “If we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord.

So whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord. For this very reason, Christ died and returned to life so that he might be the Lord of both the dead and the living. ~Romans 14: 8-9

Javen leaves to cherish his memories; his daughter, Kahlani Tumblin; his loving devoted mother, Adrienne Tumblin; his father, John Fernandez, Jr. both from New Orleans, Louisiana; one sister, Tanera Tumblin, one brother, Travon Tumblin; four half brothers; one half sister; grandmother, Mary Dawson; grandfather, John Fernandez, Sr.; three aunts, Tammy, Tonya and Jennifer all of New Orleans, Louisiana; two nephews, Tristen & Da’Shon Tumblin and a host of cousins and friends.

He was proceeded in death by his maternal grandmother, Edna Mae Wright and Paulette Fernandez; grandfather, Harry Wright; aunt, Karen Tumblin; three great aunts, Maggie, Merci and Earlene; uncle, Orhter Michael Riley; three aunts, Betty, Evelyn and JoAnn all from Donaldsonville, Louisiana; cousins, Tramell, DeQuan and Ma’lasia.

Javen has risen above to meet up with some of the family he has been missing that meant a lot to him, so take your rest and let God handle the rest. Rest on Javen, you’re in a better place now. You’re truly loved and missed by family and friends.
