Mr. Horace Ralph Magee

HORACE RALPH MAGEE

S.L. Booker Family Funeral Services sadly announces the passing of Mr. Horace R. Magee, 85 of Independence, Louisiana formally of Bogalusa, Louisiana. Mr. Magee was born on April 7, 1938 in Bogalusa, Louisiana to the late Ralph and Creola Magee. He entered into eternal rest on Sunday, April 30, 2023 at the Ponchatrain Healthcare Facility in Mandeville, Louisiana.

Horace retired from Lockheed Martin in 1997 after so many years of dedicated work to the company. Mr. Magee loved his wife, children, grandchild and his siblings. He enjoyed spending time with his family and having a good laught. He will be deeply missed by all who loved him. We ask that you please keep this family and those that may be going through the same lifted in prayer.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories: his loving and devoted wife, Davenetain Magee; two children, Nigel Magee and Nigeria Lee; one grandchild, Nyla Naomi Magee; siblings, Linda (Larry) Johnson, Nelda (Paul) Allen and Vernelll Sanders; mother-in-law, Carrie Foster; brother-in-law, Mack Allen; special cousin, Robert Young, Jr.; God-daughter, Tawanda Brown and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings, Bobbie Magee, Wardell Magee and Shirley Magee.
