2 Corinthians 5:8
Henry Broadnax was born on November 30, 1950, to the late Fannie Mae Price Broadnax and Henry Harold Broadnax, Sr. in New Orleans, Louisiana. He attended Zachary High School in Zachary, Louisiana. Henry proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army and was honorably discharged on February 6, 1973.
He was employed with Dixieland Charter Bus in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Gaten Bus Company in Hammond, Louisiana, and later retired from the East Baton Rouge Parish School System in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He was a well-known alumnus of Southern University A&M College and a devoted fan and supporter of Southern University’s band, “The Human Jukebox.” He also found joy in reading his daily scriptures, spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and cherishing every moment with the love of his life, his wife.
His light will continue to shine through the cherished memories of his loving wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife of 45 years, Lillie Mae Lathan Broadnax of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; four daughters, Evoiclyn (James) Harris of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Rechal Harris of St. Francisville, Louisiana, Rhonda Tircuit of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Shonta Williams of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; two sons, Wilce Veal of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Dewayne Jackson of Atlanta, Georgia; twelve grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren.
