Eula (Booker) Johnson was born on March 30, 1957, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Ossie Carter and Willie Booker. She accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age, carrying her faith throughout her life. Eula attended Capital Senior High School and went on to build a fulfilling career as both a chef and the proud owner of her own hair salon, Eula's Magic Mirrors.
On Wednesday, May 7, 2025, Eula was called home to be with the Lord.
She leaves behind a loving legacy through her children, Lee Lucas Jr. and Brittany Booker; her 17 grandchildren: Braleigh Graham, Bryleigh Graham, Tykeidrick Booker, Amari Booker, Aniya Young, Kierra Wagner, Nautica Wells, Keira Lucas, Jaliyah Anderson, Liyah Davis, Alvin Johnson, Dillion Joseph, Apriel Bennett, Marcellous Gates, Ashton Houston, Alex Nixon and Darreon Johnson. She was also blessed with 15 great-grandchildren.
Eula is remembered by her siblings: Tommy Carter, Marjorie (Marvin) Parrott, Irma (David) Ginn, Catherine Ridgeway, Jerome (Sue) Booker, Linda Carter, Naomi (Reggie) Wright, Theresa Booker, Tyrone Booker, Tracy Booker, and Timothy Booker. She also leaves behind her godson Joshua Carter and a special niece, Danyel Robinson, along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Renata Young; her parents, Ossie Carter Collins and Willie Booker; her step-parents, Marshall Collins and Janie Booker; and her siblings: Hattie Carter, Willie Carter, Bruce Booker, Terry Booker, and Trudy Booker.
Eula's warmth, strength, and love touched the lives of all who knew her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever. She will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
