Emaj Jonice Fields

Emaj Joneese Fields, also known as Maji, was born July 5, 1994 at Touro Infirmary Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana, along with a loving twin brother, Efrem Jebezz Fields Jr. She was the oldest of three children of Cabrina Moore and Efrem Fields Sr.

Maji was known to her family as being dedicated, loyal, but a mother, first, to her adorable and lovable three sons, Micca Dominic (5), Koda Riley (4), and Omari Dalton (2). In 2012, she graduated from Ashland High school of Ashland Massachusetts and started her job career as a teacher at a neighborhood daycare. Later she discovered that her passion was in the kitchen. Cooking desserts was her joy.  She pursued her own business titled Made By Maji LLC, and enrolled herself in Escoffier School of Culinary Arts; in hopes to be an aspiring chef. Her dream was to introduce her talents and skills through medicinal pastries to treat anxiety and manage chronic pain.

Everyone knew her for her beautiful smile that lit up the room, her warm spirit that drew people to her wherever she went.  

Our heavenly Father called her home on August 19, 2023.

She leaves to cherish her memory three children: Micca, Koda, and Omari. Her mother, Cabrina Moore and father Efrem Fields Sr. Her brothers Efrem Jr. and Donovan Fields and sisters, Eryn, Nyah, and Jenaya Fields. Grandmothers Tillie Daniels and Bessie Moore. Her Uncle Fred Daniels and Aunt Kylee Daniels; Godparents Lynell Dillard and Micheal Gaines, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather Louis Moore Sr. and her paternal grandfather Larry Fields. Her maternal grandmother Ruby Franklin. Her Aunt Janice Dotson and Uncle Louis Moore Jr, and cousin Alisheia Hines.
