BOBBY RAY MATTHEWS, SR.

Bobby R. Matthews, Sr. 84, of Ponchatoula, Louisiana passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2023 at Belle Maison Nursing and Rehab after a lengthy illness. Bobby was born on November 5, 1938 in Greenville, North Carolina to the late Johnnie and Katherine Matthews.

He spent his later years in life living in Farmville, North Carolina, Ormond Beach, Florida and later moving to Ponchatoula, Louisiana. He was a Paint Contractor for many years and later became a used car dealer. He was a devoted Jehovah Witness . Bob loved his wife, children and grandchildren.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Shirley Matthews; son, Bobby Matthews, Jr. (Michele); daughter, Sabrina Michel (Jim); grandchildren, Heather, Danyelle, Mallory, Max, Cassidy, Cameron and Chase; three great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
