Angela Michelle Landry, born Angela Michelle Carpenter on May 27, 1963, peacefully passed away on June 5 2024, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She was surrounded by her loving family and friends during her final moments. Angela's kindness, grace, and unwavering strength leave behind a legacy that will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, Angela later made Baton Rouge her home, where she touched the lives of many with her compassion and warm spirit. She was a devoted wife to Joseph Milton Landry, Jr., a loving mother to Joseph Milton Landry III, Kentdell Landry, Kimberly Landry, Jackie Jones, and Jasmine Cassett. Angela's devotion to her family was unwavering and her presence in their lives will be deeply missed.
Angela also leaves behind her devoted husband, Joseph Milton Landry, Jr.; her son, Kentdell Landry; daughters Kimberly Landry, Jackie Jones, and Jasmine Cassett; brothers, Alanzo Carpenter, and Patrick Carpenter; thirteen grandchildren; three great grandchildren as well as a host of relatives and friends who were fortunate enough to be embraced by her love.
She was preceded in death by her other, Virginia Carpenter, her son, Joseph Milton Landry, III; two brother, Elijah Carpenter and Johnathan Carpenter; one sister, Anna Carpenter.
Known for her kindness and grace, Angela touched the lives of many with her compassionate spirit and unwavering warmth. Her legacy of empathy and generosity will continue to inspire all those who had the privilege of knowing her.
In her time with us, Angela brought light into the lives of those around her. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her. Though she may no longer walk beside us physically, her spirit will continue to guide and inspire us every day.
Rest in peace, Angela Michelle Landry. Your love and legacy will live on eternally in the hearts of those you have left behind.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at the Visitation service taking place on Saturday, June 15, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Glen Oaks Baptist Church in Baton Rouge. A Celebration of Life ceremony will follow immediately after, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. Pastor Melinda Lecote, Officiating. These gatherings serve as an opportunity to honor Angela's life, share memories, and find solace in each other's company during this time of loss.
